French avant-garde of the lowlands
Sinister, rythmic and poetic with guts. FAUT HAUT doesn’t sound like anything you have heard before.
I was one of the lucky ones who were present at their debut show this year. I was immediately sold and still can’t think of a band with such an authentic and humoristic performance, with an energetic bass player as frontman. We went to the Electrosaurus Southern Sound Studio of Pablo van de Poel (deWolff) to record this special live session. FAUT HAUT is the name under which Joep Bollinger (über-Ich) and Tim van Oosten (Roosbeef) conspire. The Amsterdam based avant-gardist duo brings a sustained percussive stampede with a Captain Beefheart like flow. The changing additional cast of star players finishes off this unique brew. This time the genius keys are hit by Pyke Pasman (Jungle by night) and the catchy guitar riffs are arranged by IX.
Did we tickle your appetite? Then hurry up to the OT301 this thursday where these avant-gardists of the lowlands present their debut album.
STOIC MANNN!
